Scott H. Kitchel, M.D.

Scott H. Kitchel, M.D., is an orthopedic physician and surgeon specializing in the spine.

Dr. Kitchel received his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School in Portland, Oregon, completed his surgical internship at Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and his orthopedic residency at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. His fellowship training in spine surgery was completed at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

In addition to being a highly-recognized practicing physician and surgeon, Dr. Kitchel is an active researcher, participating in clinical studies and presenting papers at a variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, and sports medicine conferences. His commitment to continuing education keeps him abreast of the latest technologies and techniques related to adult and pediatric spine surgery. He is a popular lecturer and medical faculty member. He has served as a faculty member and supervisor to orthopedic residents at Oregon Health Sciences University, an attending physician at Shriners Hospital and a visiting professor at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Kitchel founded Orthopedic Spine Associates in 2002 to focus on his specialty of adult and pediatric spine surgery. In his spare time he enjoys travel, fly fishing, Christian service, and University of Oregon athletics.

J. Christopher Noonan, M.D.

J. Chris Noonan, M.D.

J. Christopher Noonan, M.D., is an orthopedic physician and surgeon specializing in the spine.

Dr. Noonan received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed both his orthopedic residency and his spine fellowship training at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

In clinical practice in orthopedics for more than 15 years, Dr. Noonan has actively pursued an emphasis in spine surgery. His passion for advancing spine treatment has kept him abreast of research and procedures, including surgeon training for some of the latest technologies in spine surgery, and participation in peer review projects. He performed the first endoscopic spine fusion and Dynesys dynamic stabilization in the state of Wisconsin.

His commitment to the field has included service in the medical community as president of Kenosha County Medical Society, Wisconsin PAC board member, and resident positions as chief of orthopedics, chairman of credentials committee, and chief of staff at the United Hospital System in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Dr. Noonan joined Orthopedic Spine Associates in September 2005 to devote his practice full-time to the specialty of adult and pediatric spine surgery. He is an amateur photographer and — along with his wife Elise and four children — enjoys biking, hiking, water sports and cheering on kids' soccer games.
