Erica Richardson, C.M.A.

Erica Richardson, C.M.A.

Erica Richardson, a certified medical assistant, assists Dr. Kitchel by coordinating patient visits, measuring and recording vital signs, and preparing patients with pre-operative information. She assists with minor in-office procedures, removes sutures, and fits patients for braces and bone stimulators. Erica also schedules new patients, surgeries, follow-up appointments and both outside and emergency procedures. She communicates with insurance companies regarding referrals, and assists patients who participate in medical studies with filling out their paperwork.

Erica completed the medical assistant program and the certified medical assistant exam at Lane Community College, and interned for Peace Health Family Practice, Oregon Medical Laboratories, and the McKenzie Surgery Center. She has also served as a CNA and caregiver to Alzheimer's patients.

In her time away from Orthopedic Spine Associates she participates in triathlons, archery, Christian service, and spends time with her husband, Bryan, and their two boys (Blake and Caden).

Maggie Coey, C.M.A.

Maggie Coey, C.M.A.

Maggie Coey, a certified medical assistant, assists Dr. Noonan with pre-operative and post-operative instructions for patients, triage, phone calls, and appointment and surgery scheduling. She is also responsible for coordinating with local healthcare providers to ensure patient needs are met.

After completing her medical assistant training at Pioneer Pacific College, Maggie moved to Portland where she worked at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, assisting 30 resident doctors. She's happy that joining OSA allowed her to return to Eugene.

Maggie spends most of her spare time outdoors and with her fiance, Jason, and their yellow lab, Molly.

Kristan Welsh, N.C.M.A.

Kristan Welsh, OSA's medical office assistant, helps coordinate patient visits, prepares patients with pre-operative information and schedules surgeries.

Kristan has supported orthopedic specialty practices for more than 12 years, joining OSA after more than a decade of service working primarily with Dr. Kitchel when he was a part of Orthopedic Healthcare Northwest.

A fan of any activity that includes sunshine, the outdoors and laughter, Kristan spends her time away from work biking, hiking, and barbequing with her husband, daughter, and Liddi, their English Mastiff.
